Getting started
What is SlateBreaker? +
SlateBreaker is a DFS lineup optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings. It pulls live data, builds projections, and generates up to 150 unique lineups per slate — so you can enter more contests with better lineups in less time.
What sports are supported? +
MLB is fully supported right now. NBA and NFL are coming. Both FanDuel and DraftKings are supported for MLB.
Do I need to install anything? +
No. SlateBreaker runs entirely in your browser. Open
slatebreaker.io/app in Chrome on any laptop or desktop and you're ready to go. No download, no setup.
What browser should I use? +
Google Chrome on a laptop or desktop gives the best experience. The optimizer is built for full-size screens — phones aren't supported.
When should I run the optimizer? +
Set your lineups within 1–2 hours of first pitch. That's when batting orders are confirmed and projections are most accurate. Running too early means you'll build around unconfirmed lineups.
The optimizer
How does the optimizer work? +
SlateBreaker builds lineups from a projection model validated against thousands of real outcomes, combined with confirmed batting orders, live data, and ownership — then runs hundreds of scenarios to find the best lineups across a range of possible outcomes. It respects your salary cap, exposure limits, and any players you've locked or excluded.
What's the difference between Cash and GPP mode? +
Cash mode builds safe, consistent lineups for 50/50s and double-ups — it prioritizes players who reliably score, not players who might explode. GPP (Tournament) mode chases upside, stacks correlated players, and avoids chalk — it's built to win large-field tournaments where you need a big score to cash.
What is the SLATEBREAKER model? +
SLATEBREAKER is our signature projection model. Rather than guessing how to weight data sources, we backtested against thousands of real player outcomes and built the model that measurably out-predicts the market's own pricing. It's the projection engine behind every lineup, and it's validated — not tuned by feel. Available on the Sharp plan.
How do I lock or exclude players? +
In the Projections tab, click the lock icon next to any player to force them into every lineup. To exclude a player, click the ✕ button — they'll be removed from all lineups. You can also type names into the exclude field in the sidebar.
What does exposure control do? +
Exposure limits how often any single player appears across your full lineup set. At 50% exposure with 10 lineups, no player will appear in more than 5 of them. Lower exposure gives you more lineup diversity — useful for large-field GPPs where you want different configurations.
How do I export my lineups? +
Click "Export All CSV" in the Lineups tab. The file is formatted for direct upload to FanDuel or DraftKings. You can also upload your FanDuel entry template first to get player IDs pre-matched.
Picks — Sharp plan
What are picks? +
The Picks tab shows three things: Top 3 players by position ranked by value, a Stack of the Slate recommendation showing the best correlated group to build around, and Contrarian plays — low-ownership players who offer upside without the chalk risk.
When do picks become available? +
Picks show up within a couple hours of first pitch, once lineup orders are confirmed and projections have updated. Early in the day before orders post, the picks tab will prompt you to check back closer to lock.
Plans & billing
What's the difference between Core and Sharp? +
Core ($37/mo) gives you the full lineup builder — up to 150 lineups per slate, Cash and GPP modes, CSV export, and all projection data. Sharp ($67/mo) adds picks intelligence (top plays, stack recommendation, contrarian targets), the validated SLATEBREAKER projection model, and ownership projections.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes. Both plans are month-to-month with no contracts. To cancel, log in to
slatebreaker.io/app and click Manage in the top right — this opens your subscription portal where you can cancel, update your payment method, or view invoices. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I log in after subscribing? +
After subscribing you'll receive an access token by email. Enter that token in the login field at
slatebreaker.io/app to unlock your plan. Keep the email — the token is your key.
